Jonathan, I love all your posts so much, but this one really resonated. I was only seven years old when Medgar Evers was murdered, so I don't remember any of this, but I always did love Hoss. It can be a trial to glean out the facts of shared history from the party line. But it's so rewarding to wake up to your own indivuality in the process by separating yoursel from mob mindset (and lonely at times.) Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
